PT Miura Indonesia Resources is a privately held company set up to trade energy, agricultural and industrial commodities from its base in Indonesia. Currently, we are primarily engaged in the trading and extraction of coal from Indonesia. We are also actively exploring Copper mining and Nickel Ore mining opportunities in Indonesia.

Miura Indonesia Resources is a foreign-owned ‘PMA’ (Perseroan Terbatas Penanaman Modal Asing) company, established in November 2017. A well-capitalized business, our shareholders include private investors from the UK and a US based family office along with the company’s Management team. The company has secured the requisite statutory approvals and licenses to trade coal both domestically and internationally, for export.

Miura’s management team has a combined experience of more than 50 years in natural resource extraction and commodities trading, in various geographies like Indonesia, India, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Key personnel bring with them work experience in organizations like Glencore International AG, ABN-AMRO Bank, Ernst & Young, Pertamina (National Oil Company) and Humpuss Group of Indonesia.

Our extensive presence on the ground in Indonesia, coupled with our embedded relationships with the various stakeholders in the country’s mineral resources ecosystem enables us to navigate these challenges and maximize these opportunities. Our network of relationships with producers, buyers (both domestic and abroad), federal and provincial regulators, customs and local authorities, village communities in and around areas of operations, barge owners and jetty operators makes us ideally placed to seamlessly move commodities from mine to market.

We understand the expectations of end users in China, India, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and other coal consuming markets. We are also aware of the perspective of traders in Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Zug and Geneva. Furthermore, we understand the needs and constraints of miners in South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and Sumatra. Ultimately, we serve as a bridge between these diverse participants, enabling the movement of coal from where it is produced to where it is needed most.
